Julia explained everything really nice and I had some mind-blown moments when I thought "oh this explains a lot, why I don't like some of my paintings" because I didn't thought much about contrasts of colors before. But now I will :) It was a bit difficult to read the english subtitles and watch Julia painting simultaneously, but it worked with stopping the videos and going back.
Excellent course very well explained, my only regret is that subtitles in English àre not fully available for lesson 2 ànd I could not find a reference photo, other than that Julia is an excellent teacher and I learned a lot !

The course was very good and very intense. I did not know we had to work simultaneously with Julia so I got behind from the start and did not finish in time to upload for review. However I had some very nice hours afterwards following the course on replay and painting the hydrangeas. I love the way it is filmed so that you can follow the actual painting process live - that is very informative and there are lots of big discoveries in watching how Julia works. Great course.
I am absolutely in love with Julia's way of painting,, excellent lesson incredibly informative ad extremely enjoyable and very easy to follow. Hope to become as good as she is with my boats and water! There are many courses out there and I have followed many, but noone has been so helpful and useful both for technique and instructions provided.
I'm looking forward for julia's next english course..i definitely learn a lot from her

Following Julia while painting is amazing…I struggled with having to follow instructions, mixing colors while I don’t have all the same hue and painting at the same time but I really enjoy the practice and hope there would be more English courses from her soon.
Used materials, colour theory, creating textures, usefull exercises to master it all..... It was a very complete introduction. To see all this applied to a exemple painting was very helpfull as well. My secound course with Julia and looking forward to the next one. Thanks, Tomas

I really loved it! Soooo many details, soo beautiful and useful! The only part where I wish the process was not cut is when Julia paints the waves, as a fundamental step and I have the feeling in some parts there were tiny little details missing of how she did it. But overall I have loved it and I am looking forward to trying it over and over again!
It is great how with technology people from V around the world can learn such techniques and skills that may not be available especially during this time when there is no travel. Julia has so much to offer. Talent beyond words.

Fantastic ! Amacing to have a course with Elena Bazanova in english ! What I liked the most is the english subtitles so I can understand what she says and not just view the lessons. I have followed a number of Elenas courses but since I don´t understand russian I miss out on a lot of theory - great to have the opportunity to understand what she explains. I hope there will be a lot more of her courses with english subtitles or maybe the possibility to buy subtitles to the courses I allready have in russian. Thanks a lot for this free lesson.

Julia's explanations were very helpful for understanding how to paint the sea. I had the wrong paper (no 100% cotton), but I'm happy with the first result though. I'm curious how my paintings will look when I have bought 100% cotton paper. Thank you very much!
I like this course with a lot of details with the colours and the sketch. I didn't know that we can draw the reflections on the sea !
